i enjoy building things with my hands, piece by piece.

they speak to each other, and i speak to them.

it is a dialogue of profit and connection.

a dance between object and environment.

a choreograph with my fingers, arms, and core.

a duet of improvisation and intention.

a process that speaks to the lived experience of both the object, and me.

my practice is a poem about the thoughts and hopes the object and i experience.

i build these objects to remember, to hold, to carry.

i build these objects because building them holds me.

it is a process of exertion to produce something that conjures dialogue,

something that brings comfort,

something that provokes joy.

changing the dots, the discarded, the unnoticed,

to something connected, something realized, something held.
